Why us?
Why do companies choose rail freight?
Transporting cargo freight is a complicated process, but if one chooses to transport it by railway, the cargo will arrive at the destination safely and swiftly.
Our company-owned carriage depot consists of 400 freight carriages. The most common type of carriage we use for transportation is a covered carriage. The capacity of these carriages ranges from 136 to 250 m3. We also transport cargo in specialised half-carriages with a volume of 180 m3; these help our customers to deal with oversized or dangerous freight cargo.
Railway freight is a convenient and safe way of transporting cargo, but sometimes it is necessary to take advantage of other types of vehicle, such as aircraft, trucks or ferries. The use of different transportation methods in one delivery is called intermodal freight. The loading of the cargo from one type of vehicle to another is carried out swiftly and professionally by RAILANA specialists during intermodal transportation.
